My journey began in 2000 when I entered the corporate world as a young woman full of self-doubt. I was the insecure girl who hesitated in hallways, craved validation, and second-guessed every move. I spent years watching, listening, learning, and slowly growing into the confident, grounded leader I am today.

If I could go back and tell that younger version of myself one thing, it would be this: You already have what it takes.

That’s why I created Leader in the Mirror, to share what I’ve learned over 25 years and help others avoid the years of second-guessing I went through. Leadership isn’t about titles, it’s about how you show up, how you support others, and how you grow through challenges. You don’t need permission to lead. You can start today. In fact, you may already be a respected leader and not even realize it.

Through this blog, I’ll share stories, insights, and practical tools to help you build confidence, trust your instincts, and recognize the leader staring back at you in the mirror.

I’m also working on a book that dives deeper into this journey. The title is still evolving, but the heart of it remains the same: leadership starts within.
